CHOP coding tool program was developed to make "right coding" under SwissDRG easier and more reproducible for Interventional Radiology procedures, simply by using check boxes.
The selection generates a code list where each code represents a part of an interventional procedure. This code string has then to be copied to the patient report. In this manner important codes of medical procedures during a patient's in-hospital stay are transferred into patient records and will easier be recognized by the final coding process. Therefore, "right coding" becomes more reliable and helps to generate the appropriate SwissDRG.
With the latest version 'popup windows' have been implemented, some appear on tab/domain selection or when selecting a specific response. You can dismiss a popup window clicking outside of if, selecting the 'ok' button, or clicking on the top right 'x'.
Additionally to the select-all/copy codes context menu a 'Done' button has been added. This button function is to copy all the selected code list to the clipboard, and reset the chop program. Be ware that there is no way to cancel this action, use the 'Done' button when you are sure to be finished.
The CHOP reverse operation is a tool that matches each code with its underlying definition regarding the specific interventional procedure part and is also part of this CHOP software.
